You may remember me from such films as "The League of Amazing Programmers" where I played a mostly volunteer teacher who began the push to use GitHub for Education for our classes.
I have taken on a new role at e3 Civic High on the 6th floor of the San Diego Central Library where I will be teaching an Introduction to Python course and I will be using programming in my Integrated Math 2 courses.
At e3 I'm starting from scratch and working predominantly on my own. Since my students are for the most part older and starting to prepare seriously for college that will be a primary focus. I would like them to be in a position to start building profiles of projects and to start contributing to projects in the real world, I believe that GitHub is the perfect place for them to do that.
Since I am already behind (the new semester starts tomorrow morning) I would welcome any resources you have used, especially if you have integrated programming into high school math.
