Hi all. I’m trying to further the use of GitHub at our University and this last year has been a success using it with solo projects etc; however, I want to expand on it more but I’m facing some pushbacks. We are in the process of leaning more towards Unreal Engine as our main game engine and some staff members would prefer to use Perforce due to the large binary files. Obviously, my argument is we can use LFS but there is the issue of the data cap of 1GB. Is there more storage available to academic institutions without having the university or students having to pay a monthly fee? If I can resolve this issue I’d have a bigger case for making GitHub the campus’ main source control tool compared to the likes of Perforce.
