I have read all the documentation and see that classrooms, if i understand correctly, may only be created by those users having owner privileges on the org. I had hoped that members would be able to do this as I am not keen on having multiple owners who have access to the org settings, nor having a few owners creating and managing all of the classrooms.
Is there some way to work around this?
Thanks so much
you’d usually create a separate organization for every class in every semester so these orgs contain nothing really sensitive besides all the assignment repos.
Yes, other owners could theoretically delete your org and everything in it but it’s hard to do this by accident.
Thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me. I am trying to ensure that once we start onboarding users we set sensible and efficient ground rules from the beginning. I read the attached document https://resources.github.com/downloads/github-guide-to-organizations.pdf which implies it would be prudent to to limit the number of orgs while at the same time the community seems to be indicating that it is better when there is one org for each classroom.
